Why teach Fitesque
3 reasons to
be an instructor.
Fitesque instructors come from a range of fitness and movement backgrounds, but they all share a love of movement, people and community. Here is why they teach.
Getting paid for your passion
Turn the movement you already love into income. You lead the classes, you set the prices, and you get paid for doing the thing you would happily do anyway.
Flexible around you
Run one class or five. Mornings, evenings or weekends, in a hall, a studio or a gym. You choose the hours, the room and how far you take it. We provide the framework and the support.
Women’s empowerment and confidence
Fifty minutes where a room of women moves, laughs and walks out taller than they walked in. You build the space that makes that happen, and the community that keeps them coming back.
What you get
Everything
you need,
in one box.
One payment covers your training, your instructor kit and your first month in the portal, with all the marketing, support material, music, choreography and much more.

On national television
“Playful choreography & cardio classes.” Today Extra, Channel 9
Mel took Fitesque onto Today Extra and taught the routine to both hosts live. Neither had done it before. That is the format you would be teaching, and it is already in front of a national audience before you open your first class.

Meet the founder
Trained by
Mel herself.
Mel Cherrett built Fitesque after years of being told she was the wrong shape for the stage. She teaches every instructor herself, in one day, and does not hand it off to anybody.
You learn the method from the person who wrote it, in a room of women doing exactly what you are doing. By the end of the day your profile is live and you can load your first class.
How it works
From applying
to teaching,

Nothing here takes longer than a day of your time, and most of it happens while your starter pack is still in transit.

Across Australia
Your town could
be next.
Certified Fitesque Instructors are running classes in halls, studios and gyms right across Australia.

“Being a 37 year old mum of 3 teenage nearly adult boys I thought I had lost my funk. I came to one Fitesque class and all of a sudden I have found my sexy self again. I wish the classes were 7 days a week because I would be at every one of them!”
Fitesque participant
Is this for me
Yes,
even if…
You do not need to be a professional dancer. You do need to love dancing and be comfortable moving and leading in front of a room. Everything else we teach you.
“I have never taught a class.”
If you can already move and hold a room, we teach you the method, the cueing and the routines in a day, and hand you the choreography and the support tools.
“I do not have a studio.”
Most instructors do not. A hall, a community centre or a gym is all it takes, and you get a venue guide covering what you need to launch.
“When can I teach?”
You set the schedule. One class a week is a perfectly good start, and plenty of instructors run it alongside a job, a studio or a family.
Instructor questions
The practical
stuff.
The things people ask before they apply. If yours is not here, ask on the call.
How much dance experience do I actually need?
You do not need a qualification, a dance degree or a performance background. What you do need is to genuinely love dancing and be comfortable leading in front of a room of people.
If you have trained in dance, taught group fitness, or you are simply the one who is always first up at a wedding, you are in the right place. Total beginners are better off taking classes first and coming back to this later.
Where will I teach?
Fitesque works in halls, community centres, dance studios and big-box gyms. You need a floor, a sound system and enough room to swing a boa without taking out a light fitting.
You also get a venue guideline template to help you find and approach the right space in your area.
How long is the training?
One full day, live and online, 9am to 5pm Sydney time, run by founder Mel herself. You finish it certified, with your instructor profile set up and your starter pack already on its way.
Do I need a music licence?
No. Fitesque routines run on original Fitesque music and access comes with your instructor licence. There is no separate music licensing for you to arrange or pay for.
How do I learn the routines?
Everything lives in the F.L.I.R.T. Portal: video tutorials, cueing guides and the full approved routine library. Four brand new routines land every month, so your classes never go stale.
How do people find and book my classes?
You get a searchable instructor profile, so anyone looking for a Fitesque class in your area finds you. You load your classes into the portal and participants book and pay through it.
How do I get paid?
Participants pay when they book and payouts come to you through the portal. You set your own class prices and your own schedule.
What does it cost after the first month?
Your first month in the F.L.I.R.T. Portal is included in the $600. After that it is $60 per month, which covers the routine library, the music, the marketing assets, your profile and the booking system.
